Side axe
A forged Side Carving axe,
Made to serve both the predominantly bench hand tool woodworker and the greenwood carver, great for blank preparation from rough chair leg blanks to sizing rough boards before a hand plane. Whilst still remaining really effective at carving tasks ( especially bowl carving!)
Differing from a left/right hand grind in that its forged to a side with one almost completely flat face.
